I’ve probably listened to this song a thousand times and the first 20 seconds still gives me chills. I always rewind it and listen again before letting the whole song play.

So I need your guys’ help. I’m looking to add another weapon to our live show. I want to have a girl singer tour with us this fall. I’d prefer this magical little lady to live near Seattle, but if she’s a diamond in the rough, she can be from Uzbekistan for all I care. I’d also prefer that she be able to play light guitar and/or keys (or cello or bassoon or trumpet or sousaphone or this), but what I’m really after is the pipes.
So. If you know someone, or you are that someone, please drop me a line (tomdutton@gmail.com). Send me youtube links, myspace links, whatever you got! Pull those traveling pants out of your bottom drawer and come join the sisterhood.
Yes it is true. Here I come. Back on tour. I’m extremely pleased to announce we’ll be supporting Steel Train on their headlining tour with Dear And The Headlights. Should be an amazing tour with great music. I haven’t been out on the tireless road for quite some time now so PLEASE come out and say hi to me and hear all the new music I’ve been working on. Pre-sale tickets go on sale today and can be purchased here. Dates below. Eeee! So excited!!
EDIT: Fixed ticket link. Venues are all correct now.

I was a huge fan of Paris, je t’aime, so I’m very eager to see what the same producers put together for their second installment, New York, I Love You. Great ensemble cast of directors and actors. Trailer below followed by some of my favorite shorts from Paris, je t’aime.
Directed by Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run) and starring Natalie Portman
Directed by virtual-no-namer Oliver Schmitz. I love the flashback story-telling.
Directed by Alfonso Cuaron (Children Of Men, Y Tu Mama Tambien). It’s all one shot! Amazing.
So I finally got an iPhone (as soon as I had to add tape to my Sidekick I knew it was time..) and randomly enough I ran into this cool mural on Day One. Snapped the below picture.
Here’s a video of Sigur Rós performing “Untitled #1″ live on Last Call with Carson Daly. I actually prefer listening to this over the album version because of the added prominence of Jónsi’s ending melody. If I were an actor, I would summon thoughts of this song for my big crying scene.
So strap on your headphones and blast the shit. Plus, what other band is given seven and a half minutes of performance time on network television? If I ever met an alien, this is what I would show them as an example of “music”. Skip to the five minute mark if there’s ants in your pants.
if you’re like me, you like to have artwork for everything in your itunes. so, thanks to a fan named Daisy, we now have artwork for Zero Cool’s Godzilla.
thanks again Daisy!
